Appraisal showed she was physically healthy. For now, her issues seemed to be purely psychological.
(And that psychological part is the hardest one to deal with…)
In the other world, there are calming spells used on soldiers who fall into panic, but none of them can heal someone completely in one go.
Restoration magic can only fix the physical body or forcibly reconnect fragments of memory.
With Mary and Kiran, all I did was restore their brains that had been damaged by drugs. Their trauma was something they had to overcome on their own.
「So, what did you do today?」
「Nothing in particular……」
「I see. Then how about we go on a picnic today?」
「Eh?」
I placed a hand on her shoulder and used teleportation magic.
The scene shifted to the other world, and we arrived in my office.

「Welcome back, Yuuki-sama」
「It’s been a while, Head Maid. Sorry for the sudden visit, but could you get this girl dressed? I already have permission from Aerith to use her old clothes.」
「As you wish. I’ll prepare something right away.」
The Head Maid bowed and left the room. She would surely find something that suited this girl.
When I looked back, our eyes met.
「Onii-san, are you an important person?」
「Hmm, sort of yes, but also not exactly.」
「That’s mean.」
She puffed her cheeks and turned away.
「So, where would you like to go?」
「Anywhere is fine……」
「I see… let’s see, this time of year… where would be good?」
While I was racking my brain with limited knowledge, the Head Maid returned with a light blue dress in her hands.
「This belonged to Aerith-sama when she was a child.」
「Oh… that looks like it’ll suit her perfectly.」
「Then, if you would please step outside while I help her change, Yuuki-sama.」
「Got it. And be mindful of what was written in yesterday’s letter.」
「Understood.」
The Head Maid bowed deeply, and I stepped out of the room, waiting by the door.

Now then… since I didn’t know much about famous spots in this world, I asked the Head Maid to recommend a good picnic place, and we set off by carriage.
The girl looked out at the otherworldly scenery, both cautious and curious, her eyes following everything intently.

The children who suffered mild flashbacks had responded well to mental stabilization magic, but it didn’t work on her. That was the problem.
For severe cases or children reported missing, the policy was to return them to their families as soon as possible and check up on them regularly afterward.
(But a child with the power of seeing the future… it’s hard to imagine a future where that isn’t exploited somehow…)
I wondered what kind of future this girl saw. I could only hope it was a happy one.
After that, we enjoyed lunch at a scenic overlook. Then we took a stroll, and even flew a little, getting just the right amount of exercise after the meal.

After saying that, I teleported home, where Tomoe-chan was waiting for me.
「Yuuki-san, I have a report……」
With a serious expression, Tomoe-chan pulled out a set of documents.
「This is the result of the investigation on her.」
Looking through it, there was only a small section about the girl herself. The rest listed her father’s name and the people who had bought her.
Roughly over three hundred names. Among them were current opposition party executives and even foreign politicians.

I took out the smartphone I had received from Prime Minister Miyada and made a call.
「Hello, what’s the matter?」
The Prime Minister answered after two rings. I thanked him and explained the situation.
「I see. Could you leave the politicians and related figures to me?」
「I’d like to handle the domestic side myself though……」
My voice turned cold with anger.
「That’s fine. Of course, I’ll leave the final decision to you. But if it just ends with ‘They disappeared’, it’ll only create a second or third girl like her.」
「You’re right……」
「So, we’ll expose them and make them face justice. We’ll also strengthen the laws so something like this can’t happen again. As for the ordinary citizens on that list, well… a few ‘accidents’ in dungeons might take care of that.」

The Prime Minister laughed softly on the other end.

「One more thing. I’d like to take custody of that girl.」
「Hmm, that’s outside my area of expertise… maybe have her father sign over custody, then let him conveniently go missing? Oh, but that girl doesn’t have an official registry to begin with, does she? In that case, why not register her in the other world? It would still be valid proof here in Japan.」
「That’s a loophole only I can use, huh. Alright, I’ll handle it. Thank you.」
After saying that, I ended the call.
