Volcanoes are hot because of magma, right?
In other words….protection against heat.

I imagined being able to walk freely in magma and casted the magic.
I wouldn’t walk on magma though.
Just thinking of it makes me shiver.

I’m going to a place where the three idiots made a mess.
I guess it will take me an hour to get there from here even if I run.

After waving to Usa and Kuuhi, we head out from the wood deck into the forest.
I wave to the farming corps as they stop working and look at me.
Then, the ants, spiders, and earth amoebas that are helping in the fields respond to us.
It is somewhat a peaceful scenery.
Ah, Boss-san is flying over the field.
Come to think of it, she has wings.
Originally, Boss-san had wings so it is easy to distinguish which one is she but….her wings seem to have grown too big.
Well, I can’t say anything about it because I don’t even know what their species originally looked like.
These days, I’m even seeing some unique little ones among Shuri’s kids.
Can spiders and ants change that easily?
Well, I don’t see any problem since they are all growing well.
Change was something supposed to undergo if it is necessary.
Does that mean that they need to change given their way of living?
In their life with me?
Then, it should be my fault…. I don’t know the cause though.
Hmmm…I guess I’ll have to wait and see.

I look around and continue a little further to the forest.
Today’s companions are Boss-san and five parent spiders.
TN: Presently, the only spider and ant known to be laying eggs are Boss-san and Shuri. Parent is a “size”. Chibi ant/spider – ant/spider ling – parent.
And five parent ants….eh?
There’s an antling with big sickles.
This is the first time I’ve seen it.
Or rather, what’s with those very sharp-looking sickles?
Are they necessary?
Well, I don’t think they need that with their current life.
To cut down trees?
When I stared at the antling with the sickle, for some reason, it made a gesture of holding the sickle up to its chest.
I think it’s ….showing off but do you really need to do that?
I’m extremely curious.
I’ll take a closer look when I have time.
For now, I think I’ll cast magma protection spell on everyone.
「Perfect heat protection」
A faint glow covered everyone but it disappeared immediately.
Probably because it’s a defensive magic.
Boss-san is curiously looking around her body. Is there something wrong?
I look at her too but I can’t find any problem.
I’ll take that as a sign that everything’s okay.

I put all my power into my legs and sprinted through the forest.
It still feels good to run at this speed, doesn’t it?
I would never be able to do this under normal circumstances or I would break the world record if I went back to Japan.

Well, I’m sure the parents will be able to keep up with me even if I run as fast as I can.
Still, I wonder how such big bodies can run so fast.
It looks like they are jumping between trees rather than running.
And yet, they are very fast.
The parent ants are also running on the ground at a very high speed.
They don’t bother about the stumps and fallen trees along the way.
I mean, they sometimes blow away fallen trees because of too much momentum.
Scary.
Speaking of which, what about the antling with sickles?
When I checked behind me, I saw that the big sickles were folded up.
I didn’t expect them to be foldable.
How convenient.
And it can run fast even without using the sickle part….it doesn’t even look like it is losing something.
「It should be somewhere around here….」
After about an hour, we arrived near our destination.
Even though we are near a volcano, many places look similar so we took a closer look around to see if we can find something unusual.
The direction where the volcano is and the fallen trees are good landmarks.
And here comes the problem.
Finding the entrance to the cave created by the 3 idiots was quite a hassle.
However, this time, based on my previous mistake, I brought a monster core.
This is much better than waiting for them to fly in.

I took out the monster core and invoked the “absorption start” magic.
The core glowed and was sucked into a nearby rock.
….hnn?
It was sucked in. What’s going on?
After a while, the rock glows slightly and a monster core pops out of the rock.
Ehto, does this mean that there is some kind of magic on this rock?
I call the monster core back to my hand and say “absorption stop”.
I put the motionless core back in my pocket and approach the rock.
「I feel awfully scared.」
I gently put my hand on the rock….it’s warm.
「Uoooo!!」
It was different from what I had imagined that I instinctively screamed and let my hands off it immediately.
What an uncomfortable feeling.
I mean, it was warm and soft.
Once again, I slowly put my hand on it and this time, remember the previous feeling I had.
It’s still warm to touch.
And it was soft.
It looks like a rock but it’s warm and soft…..I took a deep breath and pushed my hand inside.
The monster core managed to go inside earlier.
I should be able to get in too.
「Yeah, what the heck is this? It feels so disgusting.」
I never thought I would be sticking my hand into something I don’t even know.
It was indescribably weird and eerie.
I want to run away.
However, I have to figure this out.
I put a little more force into it and felt my hand break through something.

I put my hand on the rock and try to channel magical power but it seems to reject magical power since I feel the magical power I poured in it being pushed back.
I should try my new kind of divine power.
When I changed the power I was channeling, the power seeped into the rock.
As expected of the new power.
So, now that I verified that my new power is effective, what should I do now?
「I want to check what’s inside.」
I imagine the rock becoming transparent and activates it using my new power.
「Transparent」
The rock glowed slightly and its color disappeared immediately.
After a while, a passageway protected by something appeared.
「Whoah….this is」
The two caves where the angel children were were both neat and tidy.
They have very little dust as if they had been cleaned by magic.
However, the cave in front of us now is somewhat gloomy.
There was an eerie atmosphere as if something was about to happen.
I imagined something unpleasant like something you might see in a horror movie.
I shook my head and hurriedly erased what I’m imagining.
I’m not a fan of horror!
「Ugh, I don’t want to go.」
No matter how you look at it, it’s not giving any spec of positive atmosphere.
Well, it was made by those three idiots.
As far as I’m concerned, there’s no way it’s going to be good.

It’s time to take a step down to the horror-filled passageway.
I don’t feel much humidity.
But I feel that the air is dusty.
And it’s a little dark.

This sense of horror must be because of how dark it is.
Let’s add some light in this dim environment.
I casted light magic a few times to brighten the passageway.

Then, Boss-san took the lead and started walking

After walking for a while, we arrived at a luxurious door that seemed out of place given how the cave looked.
The door was so beautiful compared to this dark and dirty cave.
I got the impression that there was definitely something behind it.
