It is Friday, the first day of the school festival.
The first day is off limits to all but those from the school.
Tomorrow is the big day, when the general public can freely visit but today is today and there is a sense of festivities among our own people.
For the executive committee, it is also a rehearsal for tomorrow’s event.

The committee members will sometimes be paired up by class and sometimes, run around the school alone.
However, the lack of inquiries from the general public on the first day means that there will be fewer problems.
The main tasks are stage management and coordination with each class.
“No unresolved issue in the morning? This year’s executive committee members are excellent.” Says the executive committee adviser.
The time was 1330 and I finally got a break though a short one.
Even though there were no major problems, when you follow up with unfamiliar members of the team, things will inevitably won’t go as planned.
「Let’s have lunch in class」

I headed to our class with Usano, who was going on break with me.

As we approached the classroom, we saw the long line of students in the hallway.
There were nearly a hundred students lined up from the entrance to the student holding the “end of line” sign.
The “end of line” sign was my idea.
It was knowledge I had acquired at a doujinshi sale.
The sign there reads “There is a possibility that you may not be able to enter today”.
「Ah, Nanba-kun and Mimi-chan, this way.」
Watanabe, who was standing in line in a Yuri Miller uniform, noticed me and Usano.
We were not taken to our own classroom, which was used as a dining area, but to the next classroom, where the cooking and preparations were being done.
The classroom after that has a chorus stage performance so I have borrowed it out for costume changing.
「Kazu! You came here for lunch, right? Wait here for a minute.」
Yui, who seemed to be the most popular girl in the class, showed us around.
She leads us to a desk in the corner of the preparation room.
「I only need something to eat. Left over is fine.」
「M-me too…..」
Usano was still a bit shy in front of everyone but me.
「Left over, is it? We have a little surplus and we’re going to sell out soon. 」
「Looks like it…..」
The line was long after all.
「Also, I don’t think anyone in the class would complain if we prioritize Kazu’s food.」
I’m glad I’m being appreciated but it’s a little frustrating that I can’t get used to it.
「Then, give me your recommendations.」
「Okay! I’ll take a break and the three of us can eat together. I haven’t eaten yet either.」
「He’s got himself another beautiful girl….」「Damn….Mimi-chan’s going to be taken away by Nanba too….?」
I’m pierced by the resentful stares of the boys in the kitchen.
「(As soon as they found that Mimi-chan is cute, they started acting like that. High school boys are really useless.」
Watanabe, who was watching the situation, quietly whispered to Usano.

「Fufufu….I love it when you look troubled like that.」
Watanabe patted Usano on the head and then moved away.
「I guess Watanabe-san likes you.」
Yui appeared again.
She has a tray with gratin and iced tea for three.
The gratin was chosen for the menu because it can easily be heated in the microwave and still tastes just like at the restaurant.
「Eh!? Shiratori-san isn’t here?」
We started hearing comments like that from the classroom next door.
「You’re very popular.」
「Yeah…..right…..」
Yui gave me a troubled smile.

The first day of the festival ended without any major problems on the part of both the classes and the committee members.
A lot of people weren’t able to enter our class’ restaurant but Watanabe was able to calm them down.
She’s really impressive in this kind of thing.

Yui said something like that on our way home but it sounded like a flag……
