We’ll be catching up the raws of Isekaid 40ish Man so let me introduce to you a new novel.
Modern Dungeon – A Tale of a High Schooler with Abnormally High Initial Luck, Becoming the Strongest Using Skills Obtained from Canned Gacha
Author: Yosuke Tokino
Ten years ago, mysterious, laid-back characters called Danpons arrived from another world and created dungeons that have become a part of everyday life in Japan.
High school student Taira Ichino is invited by friends to explore the dungeon at Osaka Umeda Station. However, the place is teeming with people, making it impossible to defeat monsters properly. All he acquires are minimal experience points and a mysterious canned item called the “D-Can,” whose contents and method of opening remain unknown.
Back home, as Taira yearns for a personal dungeon, the D-Can suddenly opens. Inside, he discovers a candy that allows him to learn skills.
Taira learns skills from the candy and delves into dungeon, determined to become the strongest dungeon explorer…
I was supposed to translate another isekai slice of life story but with guns until I read this one. This is a new novel, just started last month so there are less than 100 chapters but it’s being updated daily.
“Modern Dungeon” throws you into a world overrun with dungeons, ten years after mysterious creatures unleashed them on Japan. Our protagonist, Ichino Taira, isn’t your average explorer. Sure, his luck might seem like a standard cheat – a slight boost to finding rare loot. But that’s where the canned gacha comes in.
Prepare for monster mayhem with a high-octane twist! Explore alongside Taira as he dismantles dungeons, stockpiles insane loot (thanks to his abnormal luck!), and builds a team unlike any other. From his trusty childhood friend to a damsel-in- distress with hidden talents, and even a half-Japanese loli ojousama (you read that right!), get ready for an adventure that’s equal parts explosive and heartwarming.
Thanks gemini for the previous two paragraph edits.
So far, my blood hasn’t boil yet because of indecisiveness or betaness so it’s within tolerable level.
The only complain is the 3rd heroine. No, I’m not complaining about the character but the plot. It was so forced. She suddenly pops out of nowhere and stayed.
All in all, it’s a great read at least for now.
