In an unexpected place, I encountered an unexpected person.
In a sense… more troublesome than Dirk.
「You… what have you done to my little sister…」
Lawrence-san, consumed by rage.
The cause was his little sister, Charlotte.
Charlotte, who we had unexpectedly come across this place and stayed in the treehouse last night, explained everything while glossing over the important parts—consequently, that made me incurred the wrath of Lawrence-san, a famous siscon in the original game.
「Shall I behead you!」
It’s no use.
There’s no atmosphere for discussion here.
Then, Hanon and Simone stepped forward to protect me.
They seem intent on shielding me, but it’s not desirable to cause trouble with the eldest son of the Blaffer family here.
Somehow, I must calm down the rampaging Lawrence-san and clear up this misunderstanding.
At that moment,
「What’s all this commotion?」
Slafin-san, having heard of the situation, arrives.
「Lawrence Blaffer? Why are you here?」
「…No, I came here on a different matter, but my little sister has been involved with this man—」
「Bale? …Then there’s no need to worry.」
「What do you mean?」
「My daughter is also under his care. In fact, those other three there are living under the same roof as Bale.」
「What!?」
Slafin-san naturally adds fuel to the fire.
「Bastard… not only my little sister but you’ve also brought so many women in your house…!!」
「It’s a misunderstanding!」
Indeed we live together, but it’s certainly not the kind of relationship Lawrence-san imagines—though it seems unlikely he’ll take my word for it just by looking at the text.
The flame of Lawrence-san’s anger shows no sign of extinguishing.
But here, finally, an ultimatum is issued by a person who could be called our trump card.
「Please, enough, Onii-sama. If you refuse to listen… then I’ll be thinking on what to do.」
「What to do?」
Sensing the ominous atmosphere, Lawrence-san suddenly becomes docile.
「Well… how about a one-year ban on conversation, for starters?」
「!?」
Even if it’s hypothetical, Lawrence-san collapses to his knees at Charlotte’s pronouncement of punishment, becoming catatonic. Perhaps this is a step forward from his furious state—or should it be seen that way?
「Good grief… now we might be able to have a proper conversation.」
Slafin-san speaks while letting out a big sigh.
Ah, that’s right, that will do.
「What can I say… you have quite the unique oniisan」
「Unique or rather pathologically overprotective… but he is skilled. He’s even called the greatest knight in academy history.」
Ah, right, he was referred to that way in the game too.
After a while, Lawrence-san regains consciousness and, with an awkward cough,
「I lost my composure… my apologies.」
He tells me.
It seems he feels the need to apologize… but knowing who he is, I feel somewhat complicated.
Regaining my composure, I was about to continue the conversation when Slafin-san spoke first.
「Lawrence, what business brings you to this academy?」
「That is… I have business with the headmaster—」
He stops mid-sentence as if realizing something.
Lawrence-san then expresses his wish to discuss further with Slafin-san in a more private setting. Naturally, we are not needed there, so we decided to leave for today.
「Onii-sama…」
「Charlotte… let’s meet again soon for a proper talk. —Bale Orlando. You as well.」
Lawrence-san prioritizes his duties.
But… what could his business be?
It’s concerning.
