Chapter 104 – To the Port Town

After making preparations for our swimsuits, we stopped by the Rymal Company.

There, we reported our vacation plans to Gregory-san.

「It’s a good idea. Take a proper rest and refresh yourselves.」

He said with his usual hearty laughter. Jennifer, the receptionist, bid us farewell with a cheerful ‘Bring back some souvenirs~’.

Back at the treehouse in the dungeon, we decided to rest early for tomorrow. The reason being that the distance we would cover was longer than any place we had visited so far, and it was expected to take quite some time.

「Since we will leave early tomorrow, let’s have our meals, take a bath, and then go straight to bed.」

All six of them responded in agreement.

By the way, Charlotte and Claudia-san’s rooms were on the fourth floor. Their respective private rooms are adjacent to each other as proposed by Charlotte.

「A maid’s priority is being close to her lady, me. It’s only natural.」

However, right after that…

「Well, there are days when she can’t sleep unless I’m with her—」

「You’re not supposed to say that desu wa!」

「Eh? Is that so?」

Claudia-san was clearly playing dumb.

…She’s talented and loyal to the Blaffer family, but sometimes her treatment of Charlotte seems a bit messy.

Well, let’s leave that aside for now. With the new rooms settled, we’ll rest our bodies today and prepare for tomorrow.

◇◇◇

The next morning.

The azure sky, as if mirroring our excitement for our first vacation, peeked through the hole directly above the underground lake.

「Perfect weather. Ideal for a long journey.」

Under the clear sky, we leisurely advanced in the carriage, savoring nature.

Our destination, a port town in the eastern part of the continent.

This town belonged to the Blaffer family’s domain, and they owned several ships. Our plan was to borrow one of them for our journey to the island. Fortunately, the Blaffer family had close ties with many sailors, so we could set sail whenever needed.

By the way, Charlotte had also arranged our land based transportation—the carriage.

「I thought we could also keep horses here.」

Indeed, this location allowed for it.

However, maintaining horses required grazing space. Since we were currently expanding our facilities, we needed to build stables and grazing areas.

…Wait, I’m already thinking about work when I should be resting.

I need to reflect on that.

After a light breakfast, we packed our belongings into the carriage.

Charlotte and Claudia-san seemed to have already given instructions to carry necessary items and had them transported to the villa so they’re empty handed.

「Please, hop in.」

Claudia-san, our coachwoman, urged. We climbed into the carriage.

With five of us aboard, it was a bit cramped, but there was no helping it.

And so, having made all the necessary preparations, we set off toward the Blaffer family’s secluded island villa.
