To repair the Dragon Tree Sword, we had to set out for Hidel Hot Springs without delay.
First, after leaving Tavares-san, we made a stop at Gregory-san’s place.
「The Dragon Tree Sword…」
At his trading company in Driessen, I explained everything that had transpired. I also told him that we would be heading to Hidel Hot Springs for a few days for the repairs, and that the crops currently in the fields would be harvested and delivered by the Woodmen.
「I understand about the crops. Even if deliveries slow down a little, the main clients are the academy and the Tavares family—they’ll understand once I explain the situation. I’ll contact the academy myself since I know Williams, who manages the farms, quite well.」
「Thank you. We really appreciate it.」
Gregory-san agreed to fully cooperate in our efforts to restore the Dragon Tree Sword.
Once we left the trading company, we returned to the Treehouse to load the necessary items for this long journey onto the carriage. Afterward, we said our farewells to Claudia-san and the Woodmen, who would be holding down the fort again, and climbed aboard the carriage. As usual, I would be driving.
「Just back from the desert, and now off to the hot springs…」
「It sounds like a vacation, but this trip will determine the future of the Dungeon Farm.」
She was right. If we couldn’t repair the Dragon Tree Sword on this trip… I shook my head, trying to dispel such pessimistic thoughts.
But fixing the sword wasn’t the only challenge. I needed to grow stronger myself.
My current problem was my lack of magic power.
If I ever had to call on the Tree God Sword again in the future, I would be putting too much strain on the Dragon Tree Sword in its current state, given my meager reserves of magic power. If that happened, cracks would be the least of my worries.
So, the goals for this journey were clear: repair the Dragon Tree Sword and improve my own strength.
As for the journey to Hidel Hot Springs, compared to the time we spent in the Rem Desert, this would be a day trip.
That said, there was a complication.
Hidel Hot Springs was vast.
「Hmm… judging by this, it doesn’t look like we could explore the entirety of Hidel Hot Springs in just one day.」
「Waaa…..That’s true.」
Hanon said as she and Simone looked over the pamphlet we’d received from Tavares-san.
Indeed, the place was huge. There was no way we’d be able to visit every hot spring in just a single day.
But that wasn’t the real issue.
「Hidel Hot Springs is large, yes, but the real problem is that we have no idea where the spring that can repair weapons will appear.」
「Huh? What do you mean?」
Aylia asked, confused.
I couldn’t blame her for not understanding. Honestly, I wasn’t entirely sure myself, but that was how it had worked in the game.
In the vast expanse of Hidel Hot Springs, the special spring could appear anywhere… our first task would be figuring out where.
