The grand feast in the dragonkin village came to an end, and the day to return to the dungeon farm finally arrived.
Looking back, our journey to find Simone had taken us to many unexpected places, but stumbling upon a village inhabited by dragonkin was something none of us had anticipated.
「Thank you. Because of your efforts, the bond between dragonkin and humans will grow stronger in the near future.」
「We’ll do our best to make that a reality.」
「Those are reassuring words. I’ll be looking forward to the day it happens.」
「Yes!」
We exchanged farewells with Bardin-san, the former Dragon King, before setting off from the village.
As for Eselda, she chose to stay behind.
She planned to visit her former home briefly but intended to live in the village and assist with managing the fields.
Vinessa, on the other hand, had left before we even woke up. Her brother, Handes-san, grumbled about her being inconsiderate, but her free-spirited nature was part of her charm, and none of us were particularly upset.
「Goodbye~!」
Riding on Simone’s dragon form, we waved at the villagers who had come to see us off.
This journey felt like a pivotal moment—not just for us, but perhaps for humanity as a whole.

After a long trip, we finally returned to the forest where our dungeon farm was located.
Sensing our arrival, Claudia-san and the Woodmen emerged from the ground-level entrance of the treehouse’s upper floor.
「Welcome back, everyone—and it seems Simone-sama is safe as well.」
「I apologize for causing you concern.」
Simone said, bowing repeatedly after reverting to her human form.
As we watched her, a familiar voice called out,
「Good grief, are you sure you’ll be fine acting like that?」
The voice came from nowhere, prompting everyone to glance around. Kiara was the first to spot the source—a figure perched on a nearby tree branch.
「Wha—!? Vinessa!? What are you doing here!?」
「I decided to follow you. I got curious about what kind of place humans favored by the former Dragon King live in.」
Vinessa said with a grin before leaping down from the tree.
「I like this forest. I’ll stick around for a while. Don’t get the wrong idea, though—I’m not about to sweat over farming like the folks in the village. Anyway, see ya around.」
And with that, Vinessa declared the forest near the dungeon as her new home.
It seemed life around here was about to get even livelier.
