V1 Epilogue – Then Let’s Aim for a Harem!

「Yuu~ki-kun, I heard you were awake, so I brought your phone and stuff~」

The one who came in was Tsuzuri-san, looking exhausted with dark circles under her eyes. She was holding the bag I’d left at the exam site.

「I figured you’d want your phone right away, so I charged it while bringing it over.」

「Thank you so much! That really helps!」

Thankfully, my phone was fully charged when she handed it back.

「Oh, so you had left your phone with her? I didn’t know, so I kept calling like crazy after I got off the plane.」

「Ah… I should’ve messaged you about that…」

When I unlocked my phone, there were nearly 100 missed calls in the log.

「Still, you two sure are lovey-dovey, huh~」

Tsuzuri-san grinned teasingly, though she looked like she might collapse at any moment.

Maybe I should heal her a little just in case…

I cast a silent Heal. The dark circles under her eyes didn’t go away, but her complexion improved a bit.

「Are you okay? You seem really tired…」

「I’m fine, I’m fine. Besides, I just confirmed something I wanted to check.」

Confirm? What’s that supposed to mean?

「Oh, right—there’s something I want to ask you two. Yuuki-kun, you can use healing magic, right?」

「「Huh!?」」

Both Hikari and I let out dumbfounded noises at the sudden direct question.

「W-What are you talking about, Tsuzuri-san?」

「Y-Yeah~, there’s no way such a convenient magic exists~!」

「No need to hide it—I’m already pretty much certain. And if you don’t tell me properly, I won’t be able to protect you if something happens.」

「Ugh… But how did you…?」

「You literally just used it in front of me, didn’t you?」

Tsuzuri-san rubbed at the dark circles under her eyes. Her makeup smudged, revealing her clear skin underneath.

「I’ve been had…」

「Sorry~ I really am sleepy, but I couldn’t pass up the chance to use that to confirm it.」

「Idiot Yuuki…」

「So… how much can you heal? How bad can the injury be?」

「Honestly, as long as they’re not dead, I can pretty much heal anything. It’s easier to reattach and heal damaged parts than to regrow them from scratch. But I can’t cure diseases. I can recover stamina and relieve muscle pain, though.」

「I see. So that means it really was you who healed that woman attacked by goblins near your house, huh~?」

「Yeah, that was me.」

「Got it. I’ll keep that a secret, don’t worry~ Oh, can you heal old wounds too?」

「I think so… but I’ve never actually tried.」

Aerith’s healing magic could restore old scars and even regenerate lost limbs, but I’ve never tried anything like that myself…

「Huh? Then, Yuuki—take it off.」

「Wha—!? Hikari!?」

「Whoa, whoa, Hikari-chan… I get that you’re head over heels, but maybe don’t start getting frisky out of nowhere…」

「Eh? Ah—no, that’s not what I…!」

Hikari finally seemed to realize what Tsuzuri-san and I were talking about, and her face instantly turned bright red.

「N-No, that’s not what I meant!! I was talking about the surgery scar you had on your back and shoulder from before!」

「Oh… yeah, that… But how do you even remember that?」

「Eh… w-well… Never mind that! Just take it off!!」

「Ah, hey!? Stop! Doooonnnnntttttttt!?」

Hikari forcefully stripped off my shirt, and both she and Tsuzuri-san stared at my back. Hikari then told me the scar from my surgery was completely gone.

「Sniff… Now I can never get married…」

「It’s supposed to be the other way around… Seriously…」

「Anyway, now we know how powerful your healing magic is. I’ll report this to the higher-ups, but I’ll just tell them your ability is limited to minor cuts and scrapes healing a little faster.」

「Uh… Are you sure that’s okay?」

It’d technically be a false report. Honestly, I’d feel bad if Tsuzuri-san got into trouble over it.

「I mean, I could tell them the truth, but if I did, you’d definitely end up as a lab rat. Being able to heal anything except diseases? That’s way beyond modern medicine. If they found out, you’d spend the rest of your life as nothing but a healing machine.」

Yeah… modern medicine can’t exactly regrow limbs or anything.

「Understood. Thank you.」

「Okay, that’s enough serious talk! I’m heading home now. I got some sleep before driving here, but I’m still pretty wiped.」

「Ah—should I cast a proper healing spell for you?」

「Really? You don’t mind?」

「Well, it only really works for fatigue, muscle pain, and stuff like that…」

「That’d be a lifesaver! My shoulders have been killing me!」

Uh… maybe that’s because of her chest…?

「Yuu~ki~…」

「Hya!?」

Hikari’s gaze was terrifying. Did she seriously catch that from just a quick glance!?

「Ah, Yuuki-kun… hate to say it, but…」

「I’ll do it. Your staring is kinda obvious, you know?」

「………Seriously?」

Both of them nodded slowly.

「Well then, I’ll see you later~」

「Thank you!」

「Kill me… just kill me…」

Ignoring my despair, Tsuzuri-san waved casually and left the room.

…Or so I thought—she suddenly popped back in.

「Oh, almost forgot—Yuuki-kun, you passed the transfer exam! I’ll bring the pamphlets and stuff later.」

Leaving that casual bombshell behind, Tsuzuri-san finally left.

Just then, the bell signaling the end of visiting hours rang—it was almost time for dinner.

「Well, it’s a shame, but I guess I should head out too.」

Hikari stood up as she said that.

「I see…」

「Don’t make that sad face—I’ll come again tomorrow!」

「But don’t you have school?」

「We’re still on break. Besides, my mom and dad are back in town right now. I’ll fill them in on everything that happened today.」

「…Eh!?」

Hikari casually dropped that terrifying statement, but before I could say anything, she suddenly turned around and kissed me—on the lips.

「Mmph!?」

Her face turned red all the way to her ears as she said, 「See you tomorrow!」 and hurried out of the room.

「…That was surprising…」

When the nurse came in with my dinner afterward, she gave me a really strange look.
