Chapter 65 – Dungeon

<Henry’s POV>

I left Mariko Village and walked for about three days.

Then—

I arrived at my destination.

A dungeon located in the region known as the Cordelio Plains, part of the Theocracy.

――――【Cordelio Dungeon】.

At the edge of the plains.

At the base of a towering rock wall, there was a dungeon gate.

I stood in front of the gate and muttered to myself.

「Let’s get this over with」

Then I pushed the door open with both hands.

What appeared was a staircase leading down.

I descended the stairs.

When the stairs ended, the dungeon began.

A corridor stretched ahead.

The ceiling was about ten meters high.

The width of the passage was around fifteen meters.

The walls were made of brick, common for places like this.

Cool air drifted through the corridor.

I started walking.

I walked.

And walked.

And walked.

About five minutes passed before monsters began to appear.

A Minotaur.

It was carrying an axe.

「……」

For now, I finished it instantly with a kick using Psychokinetic Martial Arts.

Normally, Minotaur-type monsters are considered mid-tier or above, but it wasn’t a match for me.

……After that, I kept mowing down the monsters as they appeared.

Cordelio Jellies, jellyfish-like monsters.

The Iron Rust, a headless knight clad in red armor.

The Deadly Horse, a horse with dark wings.

……And more.

Of course, every enemy was defeated in an instant.

Since no one was watching, I sometimes just used regular psychokinesis instead of martial arts to kill them.

When multiple monsters appeared, I took them all out at once with psychokinesis.

(This really is the easiest power to use)

No matter the type of enemy, it was effortless.

Even status effect attacks were completely nullified by this all-purpose ability.

I didn’t hold back with my psychokinesis and quickly made my way through the dungeon.

Eventually, I reached the room before the boss.

A massive door.

Beyond it was the dungeon boss.

Once the boss is defeated, this dungeon will be purified, and monsters will stop respawning.

Might as well get it over with.

I pushed the door open with both hands.

With a heavy, grinding sound, the door opened to reveal a lion with two heads.

――――The Twin-Headed Lion, Gigimos.

Its fur was a menacing mix of shadowy black and silver.

Protrusions jutted from its elbows and back.

But its most distinctive feature was its two heads.

Its thick manes were pitch black, and its eyes were a demonic red.

This thing had overwhelming speed and power, and back when I fought it in the game, it gave me a hard time.
