Chapter 83 – Struggle for Supremacy

「So this is your true power, then.」

I muttered to myself, letting out a low chuckle.

「In that case, I suppose it’s time I stopped playing around.」

I returned the mithril sword to my item box.

I no longer needed psychokinetic martial arts or the mithril blade.

From here on, I would crush Nea with nothing but the full force of my psychokinesis.

Nea whispered coldly.

「I’ll burn you to ash… body and soul, I’ll erase you.」

Then.

In the very next moment.

The radiant magic power gathering around her began to expand.

A golden light that devoured everything.

Anything touched by that light would vanish in an instant.

A holy inferno of pure annihilation.

Once the expansion was complete, the entire area would be obliterated.

The land would shatter, the forest leveled, and every creature in the mountains would perish without a trace.

To stop that from happening.

I unleashed my strongest psychokinetic technique.

「Spatial Compression.」

With my palm extended toward Nea, I spoke softly.

Immediately.

The expanding light came to a halt.

As if it had struck an invisible wall, its advance stopped completely.

I had blocked the spread of that holy light using my psychokinesis, specifically, Spatial Compression.

「!?」

Nea’s eyes widened.

「You… stopped my light? That’s impossible!!」

The holy light, which had been steadily growing, began to shrink.

Slowly, steadily pushed back by the compression of space.

Nea looked utterly stunned, but quickly regained her focus.

「Don’t underestimate meeeeee!!!」

With a furious scream, she flung both arms wide open.

As if to shake off the Spatial Compression, her will surged outward.

And that will took form.

Waves of intense magic power rippled outward from her, once, twice, thrice.

「Raaaaaaaahhh!!」

Nea roared.

The light, which had been gradually losing ground, began to surge again.

It pushed back against my Spatial Compression.

(So she rallied… but.)

There was another level to my psychokinesis.

I increased the pressure of my Spatial Compression, determined to crush her magic entirely.

「Wha.!?」

Nea let out a cry, half gasp, half scream.

My ultra-high-level psychokinesis closed in, ready to crush the very space around her.

It distorted the air, shaking the natural world around us.

Spiraling winds formed, like miniature cyclones.

Crackling sounds echoed in the sky above, like space itself was breaking apart.

Even the ground beneath us began to split, deep fissures forming.

This was the devastating power of Spatial Compression.

So overwhelming it could trigger natural disasters on its own.

The soldiers of the Holy Knights, witnessing this terrifying spectacle, cried out in panic and confusion.
