The Cat Demon God Vischy let out a series of chuckling “Nyaa nyaa nyaa” laughs.
「Interesting, nyaa! Then I’ll go all out with an even fiercer attack, nyaa!」
Vischy began casting a new spell.
This time, it was wind magic.
A hurricane began to form.
Ordinarily, hurricanes spiral vertically, but of course, Vischy’s manifested at a diagonal.
It surged toward me at an angle, a spiraling vortex meant to swallow me whole.
(Light magic, lightning magic, and now wind magic… She’s doing whatever she wants.)
Vischy was the boss of a post-clear dungeon, in other words, an endgame boss.
Unlike the main story bosses, her difficulty level was in an entirely different league.
The variety and power of her spells were outrageous.
(Still, none of that compares to the absurdity of psychokinesis.)
After my battle with the spirit Nea, the quality of my psychokinesis had improved.
There’s no way I would lose to a mere endgame boss.
「Haaah!!」
With a sharp shout, I blew the hurricane away using psychokinesis.
「Mmmh!? You blew away my hurricane attack, nyaa!?」
Vischy’s eyes widened in surprise.
Her once-confident expression darkened with wariness.
I spoke.
「Heh… What’s wrong? Out of tricks already?」
「!!」
Provoked by my taunt, Vischy shot back.
「Don’t think you’ve seen the full extent of my power from this, nyaa!」
Then she declared.
「Try taking this, NNNYAAAAAAAHHHH!!」
Vischy unleashed a mighty roar.
A bellow of such magnitude that I had never heard its equal.
The deafening sound was clearly intended to destroy my eardrums and knock me unconscious.
However.
「Pointless. That won’t work on me.」
Using psychokinesis, I shielded my ears, completely blocking the auditory attack.
「You blocked this too, nyaa!? What kind of absurdly well-defended human are you!?」
「Defense is my specialty, yes, but don’t think that’s all there is to me.」
I flashed a fearless grin.
Then, I took the stance of Psychokinetic Martial Arts.
「I believe it’s time to strike back. Try taking one of my attacks.」
「Nyaa nyaa nyaa! Like I’d let you counterattack, nyaa!」
With that, Vischy cloaked her front and hind legs in red flame.
Then she levitated into the air.
While floating, she began to spin vertically,
Just like a high-speed gear, she rotated rapidly and launched herself at me.
「DIE NYAAAAAAAA!!」
The massive body of Vischy spun furiously as it closed the distance.
I exhaled once, calm and focused.
「Haaah!!」
And with a psychokinetically empowered uppercut, I struck Vischy as she charged.
My fist sank into her fluffy fur and dense muscle.
A moment later,
「NNNYAAAAAAA!?」
With a loud yowl, the Cat Demon God Vischy was launched skyward, sent flying by the force of my blow.
