Chapter 197 – Forest of Death and Its Surroundings Map

Forest of Death’s Map

The forest alone is as big as four countries.

Village One, Village Two, and Village Three are not included because they are near Big Tree Village.

The height of the mountain range is over three thousand meters and there are monsters and demon beasts there so it is not a place where someone could pass.

Howling Village is not a single place but it is a common name for the five settlements that are scattered in various places of that mountain.

There is an outpost in the east side of the Demon King’s Castle and it was built to monitor the forest of death.

These countries must be pretty small in this world.

200 km is rounded roughly at 125 miles.

Walking 3 miles per hour for 8 hours, even broken up throughout the day will take you 4-5 days.

I liv ein new york state, but I’ll use Florida as an example

The woods isnt even half the length of flordia top to bottom. Florida is estimated roughly at 447 miles long.

If you add another 3.5 of the forests you can make the length of florida with still room to spare as the width of florida at its widest point is roughly 361 miles.

The forest is roughly 3.4-3.7 times bigger than Rhode Island.

So if the forest of death is as big as four countries. Then isnt the countries pretty small?

I always thought that the forest was at least half the size of the Amazon. It’s kinda disappointing to know that the Forest of Death is that small. Author must suck at geography then LOL.

In general, I’ve noticed that an author’s country of origin heavily influences their default perception of sizing (as it relates to people, things, & especially places). For example, most Japanese & South Korean writers tend to write countries & landmasses way too small. Conversely, most Chinese writers & some American writers tend to make fictional countries & landmasses as absurdly & unmanageably gigantic.
