Chocola barked.
It was not a threatening one but a bark with clear intention.
In other words, he saw this as a chance to attack.
As soon as he barked, Chocola jumped.
The moment he landed on the block wall, he kicked the wall and went further up into the sky.
He soared more than ten meters, enough for everyone to look up at him, and when he reached the highest altitude, he arched his back and rotated his body.
And something resounded.

Chocola’s body glowed white. It was as if a second sun appeared in the air, as if a magical fire appeared floating up, in other words, he’s emitting a very bright light.
That sun became a comet.
Covered in light, Chocola accelerated rapidly downward, as if laws of physics don’t exist, leaving a shining tail behind—he pierced the shock bear’s torso in one attack.
That’s the “amazing beam or something” I thought of earlier.
A beat later, a roar shook the ground.
The shock bear, whose movements were in slow motion, wasn’t even able to react when Chocola jumped up. The light rushed overhead, piercing its torso and crumpling it to the ground.
……or rather, is one penetration enough?
It’s a little hard to tell from where I was standing but that shock bear might have been split to shock and bear.
「Bark!」
With a thud, Chocola lands next to me. The light on his body is already gone and his fur is the same as usual. He jumped at me with great joy and leaned his weight on me with his paws.

He stuck his tongue, his breath bubbly, and looked at me with eyes full of expectations. As if telling me to praise him.
「Haha……amazing……you’re simply amazing」
I chuckled uncontrollably, hugging and patting Chocola around my arms. I am relieved that he’s safe, mixed with surprise that he’s stronger than his master, and a sense of disappointment that he needed to rescue me again.
But above all—I’m glad.
Chocola is still my Chocola.
No matter how strong he becomes, no matter how much light he emits, and no matter how he can defeat a monster like that like a comet.
He didn’t change. He’s still him.
My family who’s been with me since I was a little boy.

I felt that if I left him alone, he would let me pet him forever so I calmed him down. I can’t play with him forever. We still have something to do.
