Learning is not a unique skill but one that has been confirmed to exist.
However, it’s extremely rare, with only a few recorded instances in the past.
「I didn’t find anything about it on the site I usually check.」
「You’re probably looking at the Dungeon Bureau’s official website, right? I’m using a member-only site run by the GDC Group. The amount of information there is way different.」
What? That’s unfair.
Could it be that my secret PD Generation skill is listed on there too?
I’ll have to check later. For now, let’s focus on Learning.
It allows you to memorize a monster’s skill and use it by consuming magic power.
The number and type of skills you can remember increase as your mastery improves.
「Learning… It’s not very practical at first. The useful skills you can learn are practically none. But if you fully master it, it could become one of the strongest skills—stronger than even my bunshin or Milk’s drug magic.」
「The strongest? Does that mean…?」
「Yes, for example, you’ve heard of Ghosts, right? Their ability to float in the air, make physical attacks pass through them, and walk through walls—imagine having those abilities yourself.」
—!?
That’s incredible.
It might not be easy to acquire those skills, but still… incredible.
Wait, so Ghosts floating, passing through physical attacks, and phasing through walls were all skills?
「There are monsters on the deeper floors that can use magic, reflect spells, or absorb magic power. There’s even dragons that can use breathe.」
「Just like the monster that cursed Papa… if there are monsters that can curse people, then maybe Ayame-chan could learn to break curses too. If she learns that, she might even be able to lift my Papa’s curse—」
「That’s a bit of a leap, but yes, that’s the general idea. It could become a tremendous power. A skill necessary for us, the Tenka Musou, aiming to be the best in the world. Ayame, good job!」
「All I did was memorize pi, though…」
Honestly, I tried, too, but I couldn’t get past 10 digits. So yes, Ayame, good job.
「Alright. This Saturday, the four of us are going to the Kyoto Dungeon. There’s a skill I want Ayame to learn.」
「Yes! I’ll do my best!」
「The Kyoto Dungeon… was that the one at Fushimi Inari? Now that I think about it, I’ve never been there.」
「Fushimi Inari, huh? Should we go via Saidaiji then—」
「Good luck, everyone. I’ll be cheering you on from Osaka.」
「Mai, you focus on your P〇kémon. You don’t need to come into work until you finish. Just send me progress reports by email, and I’ll even lend you a phone for updates and looking up guides.」
「Uh… okay. I never thought my first job after joining the company would be playing P〇kémon, though.」
Mizuno-san looked a little puzzled.
Meanwhile, Hime showed me a list of confirmed skills that aren’t listed on the Dungeon Bureau’s site, but as expected, there was no mention of PD Generation.

Later, when I got home, I went to visit Danpon at the PD with Kuro and brought him some souvenirs. Before I could explain, Danpon had already eaten them.
「This is delicious! What is this food?」
「It’s ikayaki.」
My mom had asked me to pick up some if I went to Umeda, so I bought about thirty pieces.
The ones we can’t eat right away will go into the freezer so we can enjoy them later.
In our household, it’s a rule to buy at least ten per person.
I thought about buying ten for Danpon too, but since there’s no microwave here, I only brought enough for him to eat right now. I’m glad he liked them.
Though he’s done some things on his own, thanks to him, the government isn’t meddling too much.
「Hey, Kuro, do you want some too? Or maybe share it with Shiro? But, I don’t think giving squid pancakes to puppies is a good idea, especially with the sauce.」
Even if the squid itself is fine, the sauce is probably a no-go.
It’s likely to have onions or something.
「I’ll give you and Shiro some churu later, okay?」
Both of them love churu.
I thought that would settle things, but Kuro made another request.
「What? You want to come to the dungeon with us? Well, this time we’re heading to the Kyoto Dungeon, and pets aren’t allowed at Fushimi Inari.」
I looked it up just to be sure.
Apparently, it used to be a pet-friendly path, but as of 2022, they’ve completely banned pets—even in carriers.
「We’ll work hard together at the PD, Kuro.」
I said, patting Kuro’s belly.
「Hmm? Taira, are you going to Fushimi Inari? I want to come too and meet my friend.」
Danpon suddenly chimed in.
Huh, Danpon wants to go?
I wonder if he counts as a pet or a plush toy.
It’s debatable.
「Wait, can you even leave here?」
「Of course I can’t.」
「I guess I can only make a PD nearby then.」
He must want to meet up with his friend at Kyoto Dungeon, maybe even trade some P〇kémon.
I didn’t mind, of course.
He’s stuck here all the time—it’s not much to ask.
「At that time, I’d like Taira to meet my friend too.」
「Hmm? Sure.」
In the PD, time doesn’t pass the same way, so I’m not too worried.
If Danpon has a buddy, I’ll bring something for them too.
Maybe I should pick up some souvenirs.

Alright, now it’s time to get down to business.
I lined up a bunch of D-cans in front of me.
「That’s quite a lot you’ve lined up today.」
「Yeah, my friends have been getting stronger, so it’s time for me to step it up too. I’m calling this the ‘Catch Up by Opening All the D-cans at Once and Learn a Bunch of Skills Operation’. 」
「That name’s too on the nose. Your naming sense is terrible.」
Yeah, yeah, sorry.
It’s not like the operation name matters.
Kuro’s giving me a look like he’s disappointed, but hey, you agreed to the name earlier!
