Chapter 19 – Fallen Rocks

「Well then…」

I spoke my next objective aloud.

「I want Teleportation Magic.」

Teleportation Magic is one of the legendary skills in this world.

It’s considered a divine skill, usable only by the Hero.

———In the game, you’d normally acquire Teleportation Magic through standard play.

However, if you mess up your playthrough, there’s a chance you might miss it.

For such cases, a failsafe exists—defeating a certain boss grants you the magic.

It’s what’s known as the 【Redemption Boss】 event.

And that’s exactly the boss I’m targeting.

By defeating the Redemption Boss, I’ll snatch 【Teleportation Magic】—something originally meant for the Hero.

Not a problem.

After all, the Hero’s already dead.

Everything that was supposed to be his… I’ll take it all for myself.

「If I recall, the Redemption Boss is in the Ceruleon Empire.」

Time to head out.

Several days later.

Walking through forests and grasslands, I finally entered the Ceruleon Empire.

I kept moving straight along the highway.

Eventually, I reached the mountains.

Climbing the slope, I saw a rock wall to my left and a cliff to my right, with a vast forest stretching below.

Step.

Step.

Step.

After a while, my path was blocked by a massive boulder.

Seems like a rockslide had occurred.

In front of the fallen rocks stood a single woman, looking lost.

「A rockslide?」

I called out to her.

She turned around.

「Ah… um, yes. It appears so.」

Her age… around 20?

Long green hair tied into braids.

Golden eyes.

A gentle face—one that even carried a hint of motherly warmth.

She wore commoner’s clothes.

She didn’t seem like a city girl.

Probably a villager or someone from a rural town.

「I’m from a village further ahead… I went to town and was on my way back when I found these rocks blocking the path.」

She explained the situation.

「I see.」

After nodding, I spoke.

「Step aside. I’ll clear them.」

「Eh… clear them…?」

I stood before the boulder.

A huge rock—maybe five meters tall.

Yeah, no way an ordinary person could move this.

But with my Psychokinesis? No trouble at all.

I raised my hand, about to activate it—oops.

Almost forgot.

I decided not to use Psychokinesis in front of others if possible.

Better to camouflage myself as a bare-handed martial artist.

I quickly shifted into a fighting stance.

Then, I threw a punch at the boulder.

「Hngh!!」

THUD!

My fist struck the rock—

At the same time, I activated Psychokinesis…

And shattered the boulder into dust.

「Eeeeeeeeeehhhh!!?」

The woman let out a stunned cry.
