After being released by the police, I took the train and returned to the apartment I’d moved into.
「Um… so this is your place, Kaminagi-kun? It’s amazing」
「A lot happened. Someone I know helped set this up for me」
That’s right. I’m here together with Kagurazaka-san.
「But… are you sure it’s okay?」
「Yeah. I texted them that I’d be staying at a hotel」
「In that case… I guess it’s fine」
Using the card key I was given, I called the elevator and got in. It automatically brought us to the residential floor without pressing any buttons.
「Wow… it’s all automatic…」
「Yeah. I used it for the first time yesterday too. It’s pretty crazy, this one card even works as the house key」
「But wouldn’t it be bad if someone picked it up?」
「The front door’s got vein authentication just in case」
Right after getting off the elevator, the door to our place was immediately to the left. I placed my right hand on the device in front of it, and it unlocked, revealing the entryway inside.
「Wait, this floor only has four homes?」
「Yeah. There’s one for me and Hikari and the housekeeper. One floor below is my parents’ place and Hikari’s parents. The one on the right is Haruka, Touka, and Tomoe-chan’s place. The other two aren’t occupied, but they’re owned by Tomoe-chan’s family, they use them for parties or by the staff」
「Welcome back, Yuuki. Kagurazaka-san, welcome」
「Welcome homE, Yuuki-saN. Is thiS the woman yoU broughT homE with yoU?」
「I’m back, Hikari, Mary. I told you already, she’s staying in your room」
「S-sorry to intrude…」
「Oh right, Yuuki. I told Haruka-chan and the others about Kagurazaka-san, and they said they want to hear more, so we’re all having dinner together」
「Got it. I’ll go use the second-floor shower then」
Since the plumbing gets crowded in the morning, both the upper and lower floors have their own bathroom, toilet, and sink.
I went into my room, which was a little bigger than my old one, dropped off my stuff, and got some clothes ready.
(I got summoned to another world, fought… came back. I didn’t just get a girlfriend, I ended up with fiancées, and more than one. Now even my house has changed…)
I thought about it as I showered. Now that I think about it, my body’s changed too.
Muscles had formed in various places, and my abs were clearly defined.
(I mean, they were totally ripped back when I was in the other world…)
After drying off, I struck a pose in front of the mirror. My muscle gains were looking pretty solid. (The pose was the classic front double biceps, the one where you raise both arms)
As I was holding the pose, I felt someone’s eyes on me and turned around.
「Staaaaare」
「Whoa! Hikari! Since when were you there!?」
「Around the time you started posing」
「That’s so embarrassing!!」
「C’mon, it’s fine! It’s not like it costs anything!」
「Well, yeah, but still…」
「I really like how your abs are just slightly defined like this」
「Huh? So too much muscle is a turn-off?」
「Hmm, I think it’ll look great once you grow a bit taller and become more mature」
「Was that a jab at my height?」
Even now, though I’d gotten taller, I still wasn’t over 170 cm, and my eye level was pretty much the same as Hikari’s.
「Don’t pout like that. Besides, I heard putting on too much muscle can stunt your growth」
「Seriously!?」
「That’s not true at alL」
Mary’s voice cut in suddenly. When I turned around, she was standing there with an exasperated look.
「Mary, you came too?」
「You were takinG a while, so I came to check…」
「Has that much time passed?」
「About 40 minuteS. But I thought it woulD be rude to keep your guest waitinG」
「It’s really been that long…? Alright, I’ll get dressed and head back」
Yeah, I’d been stark naked this whole time.
I mean, come on, could you two show at least a little shame…?

◇Rinka’s POV◇
「Okay, Kagurazaka-san, this way! I’ll show you to the bath!」
「Eh? Wait, what? The second floor? This is an apartment, right?」
(An apartment with two floors!? And Yuuki-kun is really loaded, isn’t he…)
「It’s called a maisonette type, Rinka-sama」
(And he lives with such a cute maid too…)
「Wait, ‘sama’!? Please don’t call me that, it’s too weird!」
「Then… Rinka-san, it is」
「Yes, please do」
「Ooh! I want to call you Rinka-san too!」
「Sure! I call you Hikari-san already anyway」
「Sweet!」
「Alright, here’s the bath~」
After showing me to the bath, Hikari-san left the dressing room.
(But… is this really okay?)
What flashed through my mind was how much fun those two seemed to be having. Even the maid was a total beauty…
(But still, Yuuki-kun today was seriously cool!! That whole thing where he flew in and landed, he was like a real hero!! And when that creep cut his hand… he healed it with magic, but that had to hurt…)
「And yet… he still came to save me…」
As I hugged my knees in the bath, thinking about Yuuki-kun from today, Hikari-chan showed up again.
「Rinka-san, sorry it’s just my clothes, but I left them here for you~」
I saw her moving in front of the bathroom door.
「Thank you! Hikari-san!」
「Take your time~」
I waited until I heard the door to the changing room close, then got out of the bath.
After a quick rinse, I stepped into the changing room and saw a full change of clothes neatly laid out next to the towel. Once I got dressed and came out, I found Hikari-san drying her hair in the living room.
(Wait… was I really in the bath that long?)
I checked the clock and saw that I’d been in there for about an hour and a half. I must’ve soaked too long…
「Sorry for the wait…」
