This is an SS I wrote for Christmas.
I deleted it once because I didn’t want it breaking up the main chapters.
First, some notes:

In my old world, Christmas meant nothing to me.
Work, work, and more work.
The next day, I’d buy a cheap leftover cake from a bakery and eat it alone.
But now, there’s no such thing as a lonely Christmas!
Wendy, Shiro, Aina, Sorte, Renge.
Spending Christmas with such adorable and lovely girls, how could that not be fun?
There was, however, one problem.
Christmas was originally a festival celebrating the birth of Christ.
Yes.
And in this world, Christ does not exist.
Which means… Christmas doesn’t exist here either!
Do you understand?
A day that I once cursed in my old world, a day that now could turn into happiness… yet here, that very day doesn’t even exist.
How could such a thing be allowed?
No. Absolutely not!
「Alright! Which is why we’re going to celebrate Christmas!」
Clapping my hands, I declared this to the five girls gathered in the living room.
They all looked blankly at me, which was only natural.
After all, none of them knew what Christmas was.
「Ano… what is Christmas?」
「Good question, Wendy. Christmas is…」
Wait. Uh, how exactly should I explain it?
「Hmm… it’s a day where you eat cake, or a fancy dinner?」
「Hmm! Shiro agrees! Let’s do Christmas!」
「And… children get presents on that day too」
「Oh… then would it be alright to give presents to the children at the orphanage?」
「Of course. In fact, it’s better to give them to kids like that」

Aina often donates much of her quest earnings to struggling orphanages.
「That’s true. If we explain to them that it’s a special day, they’ll be happy」
「Yeahssu! Normally I’d get scolded for giving too much, but if it’s for a day like this, it’s perfectssu!」
「Then let’s invite all the kids from the orphanage over here for a party! They can eat as much as they want, and it’ll be easier to hand out presents too」

「It’s a day of celebration! The more people, the merrier!」
Since we’re doing this anyway, let’s make it fun!
Now, what about Wendy?
「Wendy, I actually have a favor to ask of you…」
「If it’s a request from Master, I will gladly accept」
「Great! Then we’ll need costumes! I’ll draw up a design later, so I’d like you to make enough for everyone based on that!」
Naturally, Santa outfits!

The cute outfits should be worn by the girls, after all!
「Next is… a fir tree and decorations. I can make the decorations with alchemy, but what about the tree…」

Alright, the division of tasks is complete.
Me: decorations, cooking, and presents.
Wendy: costumes.
Shiro, Aina, Sorte, and Renge: the fir tree.

「A, then I’ll carry the bags for you」

First of all, I asked Hayato and the others.
Hayato readily agreed with an enthusiastic “Let’s do it!” so I put Chris in charge of cooking, while Mii and Letty joined Aina’s group to fetch the fir tree from the deeper forest.
Emily helped Wendy with the costumes.
With more people involved, the number of Santa outfits had to increase, and when I explained the reasoning, Hayato and I secretly exchanged a firm, fiery handshake.
A group of girls, beautiful ones, no less, wearing Santa outfits.
If that doesn’t get you fired up, then you might as well stop being a man.
「So, what should we buy first?」
「Let’s see… decorations… we’ll need garlands, and of course, lights for illumination」
Which means we’ll need light magic stones.
「And of course, we’ll also need a big bell」
「In that case, I have plenty of metal. Please use it」

「And… don’t we also need those glittering balls?」
「Ah, right. The colorful ones. I should be able to make those from colored glass」
「Ah! We also need a star! The star that goes on top of the fir tree!」

On top of that, I still need to prepare presents. Looks like we don’t have nearly enough hands…

Before shopping with Hayato, we stopped by the Alchemy Guild.
There, sitting at the reception desk with a bored look, was Riito-san, and I asked her to lend us a hand.
「…Haah. Well, fine. But it’ll only be after I finish my guild work, so I can’t make that much」
「That’s more than enough! Besides, on the day of the party, there will be plenty of delicious food!」
「…Will there be sweets too?」
「Of course! Loads of them! So many that you won’t even be able to finish them all!」
「Sounds like an amusing little event you’re planning」
And right then, Reinrich appeared!
…Honestly, asking Reinrich to help with Christmas decorations feels kind of wrong.
But… if I asked, would she make them?

Damn, she cut me off before I could even ask.
That timing was way too perfect!
「But I’ll lend you Riito. The party’s the day after tomorrow, right? Then I’ll give her time off until then, so let her start working at your place」

This means I can leave almost all the decorations to Riito-san!
After a simple explanation, she immediately understood and went ahead to my house’s alchemy workshop to start making things from the materials I had there.
That takes care of the tree decorations.
But the house itself also needs to be decorated.
Which means… time to ask those guys for help.

「Got it. I’ll be there too, so make sure there’s good food」

「Something, huh… Well, yeah. I do have things I don’t need. I’ll bring some over while clearing out stock」
「…Nothing dangerous, though. The kids from the orphanage will be there, so make sure it’s something normal」

Still, Hayato’s stiff expression is something you rarely ever see. Honestly, I’m too scared to even ask…
Anyway, that settles it. My main responsibility is the food.
Food… huh.
Chicken is a must, and for the cake, since there will be a lot of people, I’d like to make something big and impressive.
A bûche de Noël would be nice, but chocolate still isn’t easy to get.
In that case, I might as well make a tiered cake, something like a wedding cake.

That means more presents to prepare, but it’s sure to be lively.

If Yasis doesn’t bring them, it’ll be a disaster.
Besides, we’ll have to make the cake early or it won’t be ready in time.
「A… I just thought of something! Could you take me to the hot spring town?」

「Christmas means… snow!」

「No, once we get to the hot spring town I’ll head to the site alone. I’ll contact you once I’m there, and you can teleport to me. That’ll be safer」
