Chapter 100.3 – In the Wind, the Twins Look Down on the City

「Whoah, this floor has a lot of baseball things displayed.」

「The baseball field is close by.」

On the 4^th floor, uniforms and blousons of my baseball team, the Schenker Great Scorpions, are displayed and some of them are for sale.

There is also an unnecessarily long and big poster on the wall, which seems to explain the origins and rules of baseball, using almost all of the 4^th floor’s wall.

However, how could they make such a thing?

It was quite interesting not only as an exhibit but also as reading material as it included realistic paintings of me, Laura-san, and other important people involved in the establishment of the Noble League.

The people who come to see the play may not be interested in this kind of exhibition but I’m sure the fans will enjoy it.

I checked the seating on the fourth floor as well as the lower floors and entered the secret staircase through the entrance for related parties which was built to be hidden in an inconspicuous place on the wall.

「This is a normal staircase.」

「Because no guests come beyond this point.」

Right, beyond this point is the most important secret place, the crystallization of my dream, a whole floor private area.

In a normal theater, the 5^th or 6^th floor would be the place to house the audience but this theater has a different design philosophy than those theaters.

In the first place, I built this theater for myself……up to the 4^th floor are not mine since there’s no reason for me to monopolize the whole theater……

For that reason, the one with the best view, the entire 5^th floor, is reserved for just me, my family and the Schenkers.

Heh heh heh……

This is noble class luxury.

I could have turned the entire 1^st floor as my private area but then, given the maintenance cost, that won’t do me any good.

It’s unfortunate but compromises must be made in everything.

「Waaaa, this chair, it’s a sofa desu yo!」

「That’s my seat. I’m going to lie down like this and watch the play.」

I lay down on the leather sofa and Rafi tilted her head in wonder.

「I think it is better to watch a play while sitting down properly.」

「I’ve always dreamed of watching one while lying like this.」

「Since it’s a dream, it can’t be helped.」

The sofa is placed on a high platform and there are no other seats in front of it so that even if you lie down, you can still see the stage.

The other seats on the 5^th floor are the same as those on the other floors.

These seats will be opened as part of the benefits package for the Schenkers.

I’m only going to give the tickets for the 1^st day of the opening to the public to whomever I decide to give them to.

Thus, noon of the next day, I stood in front of the Magical Schenker Group’s headquarters building with my wife Laura-san.

「Wouldn’t it be enough to have your employee pick them up or even mail it to them? Why do you have to give them personally……」

Laura-san, with her long blond hair flowing down to the back of her bright red blouson of the Schenker Great Scorpions, exhaled cigarette smoke in distaste.

I replied with “You don’t understand” waving my finger at her.

「I’m a dreamer and this theater is my dream. They are the same people who helped me realize my dream. Even though I’m in a position where I can just ask them to go to me, I have to personally go to them to share my dream.」

「I don’t get it. Is that how it works?」

「That’s how it works.」

「It sounds strange though……」

We walked through the open headquarters entrance to the employee entrance behind the counter as we talked.

「Ah, master, madam! Good morning! Chicken-san’s at the back!」

「Good morning!」

「Hello!」

Maybe it’s because they’ve met her several times already, the people at the counter are no longer distraught with Laura-san’s arrival.

Her background of a princess of a great noble family is terrifying for everyone.

I think some of them were a little too casual but that’s okay.

After passing through the swinging door-like entrance, we proceeded down a corridor that was wide enough for two people to pass each other.

「However, wouldn’t be a nuisance to suddenly invite them with just two days to go?」

「Ah, no, I’ve already informed them about the schedule so they should be available.」

「Then, why didn’t you just give them the tickets that time……」

「Originally, it will be only be our family who’ll enjoy the seats on the 5^th floor but I thought it would be a bit tasteless so I had tickets made for them.」

「You’re a real stickler, aren’t you?」
