The next day, Professor Marino and I, who had not slept to prepare for the princess, were freezing up while slurping instant noodles in the morning sun in the shadow of the clock tower class magic construct.

The students of the lab were toiling through the night preparing a pilot’s seat suitable for a royal welcome, safety check, and paving the bare dirt road. They are all now collapsed around a campfire as if they had just fallen asleep.
