A long, endless train advances like a single line through the temple granary, which is already carpeted by the golden glow of summer.
It is the bright red transcontinental railroad and most of the carriage towed behind the locomotive are freight cars for transporting goods.
However, compared to the supplies, the human passengers are infinitesimally smaller.
I was waiting at the station in Torquiva for a man who had just stepped out of the first-class carriage, one of the most luxurious coaches.
「I’ve been waiting for you, Spinner-sama. I am Sawadi Slayra.」
「Ah, thanks for your hard work. So this is Torquiva……I hope it worth the long train ride.」
Spinner-shi, who is practically the resident playwright of the national theater, arrived with a man accompanying him and said so without introducing himself.
Of course, that would normally be a disrespectful attitude even if the other party is just a lowly noble like me but……it doesn’t matter since it’s him.
The Spinner family is a relative of the Royal family.
In terms of being related to the royal family, I’m strangely the same……
Though people like him are different compared to people like me since they are high nobles with generations of royal blood.
「Then, let’s get right to it. Let’s head for the theater.」
The way he commands people with his chin is also quite regal.
However, I have survived in the noble society by keeping a low profile and making a fool of myself from time to time so my little moves are not so bad either.
「The carriage is already waiting outside. Please follow me.」
I quickly took the luggage with a smile on my face and led them.
Spinner-shi and his companion walked behind me but I didn’t mind.
To be honest, from my point of view, it’s easier to deal with these nobles with a noble-like attitude compared to the princess.
I know the right way to deal with them and it can even be mistaken that I can read their minds.
I sat opposite Spinner-shi, whose face turned outward with a pout after getting into the carriage and his attendant, who silently crossed his arms next to him……
I remained still and silent with a clear face until we arrived at the theater.

「What do you think?」
「Nothing special」
Even though what he watched is our theater’s number one “It’s Too Late”……
While the light band spells were flying throughout the theater, Spinner-shi’s face remained sloppy.
He showed no reaction to the one floor family seating, the all female troupe, or the book by the up-and-coming playwright Mezias and only commented “nothing special”.
To put it bluntly, my theater didn’t seem to appeal one bit to Spinner-shi.
「There is a handshake event with the actresses later after this, do you want to try? The princess also participated in this event……」
「I’ll refrain from doing so. Now, about the subject of the play I’m going to write for this theater……」
「Ohh! I’ve been looking forward to it that I couldn’t sleep at night!」
That’s true.
「I’m thinking of a story about the deadly sins of the church. In a countryside theater like this, people are more interested in a well-known historical drama than in something new.」
「Oh, I’m looking forward to it! Speaking of Spinner-sama’s historical drama, I loved “Green Pasture” so much that I shed tears and watched it a number of times.」
Spinner-shi nodded a little while showing his first smile today.
Well, he is in a position where he is allowed to write whatever he wants so it doesn’t matter what the play is about even if it’s a bit extreme.
I’ll be very happy to see his new play. After hacking my theater, the princess finally made something good for me…..and Spinner-shi will be able to make some money even if he may not need it.
Thank you very much, princess-sama-sama.
It’s summer but it’s spring in my world.
Thus, I immediately agreed to whatever spilled out of his mouth……and what started as a little chat after may have inadvertently turned into something big.
