I did think, do we really need to do this first thing in the morning? But the acting lord was someone who had lived on the battlefield. Bloodshed probably did not bother her.
We decided to eat breakfast first, and while we did, I asked Miriel and the others to make the necessary preparations.

In less than twenty minutes, the acting lord and her group departed, and almost immediately after, Sierra’s group arrived.
Sierra brought ten people with her. Four men and six women. Their ages varied, but they seemed well trained. Their appearance was neat, and they stood in two lines facing me.

This is a big help for us, but I do not want to earn any strange grudges.
「There is no problem. I recruited them amicably」
So she did poach them. Well, as long as it was not forced, I guess it is fine.
「For now, I will leave the room assignments to you. I am using that house over there」
I considered using rooms in the manor, but it would be a waste not to use the house they built for me. I will use it for a while.
「For the time being, Sierra will act as the manor manager and handle things. Though, since we do not have many contractors yet, it will mostly be managing the manor and maintaining the surroundings」

At that, a man and a woman in their early thirties stepped forward.
「They are a married couple hired as cooks. They were running a small shop, but cash flow was tight, so I invited them to join us this time」

We will source ingredients locally, and I will provide the seasonings. The menu should not end up monotonous.

There are no shops in Lasagna Village, and even the town of Misrim is far away. It is not a distance you can casually travel. Without someone bringing supplies, living here would be impossible.

The first floor of the manor is built like the town’s Adventurers’ Guild. Facing the front entrance, the staff rooms are on the right. On the left are reception rooms and a large hall used for meetings.
It is amazing that giants built all of this. You really feel how incredible their hands are.
The second floor consists of private rooms. They were built as two-person rooms, but aside from married couples, we will give one room per person. That still will not be enough, so anyone who is not staff will be moved to the dormitory.
We were busy with one thing after another, and before we knew it, it was noon, so we had lunch in the manor’s dining hall.
Of course, in situations like this, it is a hotel-style breakfast buffet. Yes, even though it is lunchtime. Do not ask why. A lunch buffet would be overwhelming. There would not be enough space on the tables.

Sorry, but you will need to adjust to our tastes. If you do not eat properly, you cannot hunt goblins.
My worry about whether the flavors would suit them turned out to be unfounded. Everyone ate happily, and the cook couple tasted everything with serious expressions. It seems they will be able to cook to suit my palate.
